Tattoo aftercare

Follow these tips to ensure proper healing of your new tattoo

2 Wash the tattoo

Lukewarm water and a neutral soap (no alcohol, fragrance, or dyes). Use clean hands, no sponges. Gently rub to remove excess ink, blood, or plasma

1 Remove the protective film

Between 2 and 6 hours after getting the tattoo (unless using second skin film like Dermalize, which can stay on for 24–48h).

Pat gently with a clean paper towel or let it air dry. Do not use fabric towels.

3 Dry
4 Apply healing ointment

A very thin layer (let the skin breathe)

Repeat this process 3 times a day at least 10-15 days

Avoid the following during healing

🚫 Direct sun exposure or tanning (for at least 1 month)

🚫 Scratching or picking scabs

🚫 Swimming pools, beaches or saunas (showers are fine)

🚫 Tight clothing that rubs the tattoo

🚫 Applying alcohol, perfume, or non-tattoo creams

🚫 Exercise or activities that cause sweating (especially during the first few days)
